Welcome to Forgiving For Living
A Message from
Forgiving For Living, Inc.
Forgiving For Living, Inc. was founded over twenty years ago to help at-risk and marginalized girls from low-income and underserved communities. We were saddened to learn of the death of George Floyd, yet another African-American man killed by the hands of a police officer.
It is not enough for anyone to say they aren't racist, we must be anti-racist. Together we can make a difference to help end racism and allow justice to reign for all. We pray for the safety of the protestors and we condemn any acts of violence or looting. We are committed to doing our part by listening and helping the healing process through understanding differences, making necessary changes, and extending forgiveness.
Sincerely,
Wendy
Today we stand with the families of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and all of the many individuals who have died unjustly at the hands of law enforcement. It is time for all of us to play our part in holding our police officers accountable for how they interact with our community. We are not against the police, just police brutality.
Forgiving For Living, Inc. was founded by Wendy Gladney in 1999 for the purpose of empowering women through forgiveness. As a child, she was the victim of sexual abuse by her father and, at the same time, was abandoned by her birth mother. Over the years, Wendy developed strategies for healing that allowed her to break down the walls of hurt and pain and eventually learn how to forgive. She shares how to embrace happiness, experience joy, and live a fulfilled life without hatred. She learned how to go from victim to victorious, and her mission is to help others do the same.
