jordan-downs-classroomFFL has been working with young ladies between the ages of 10-17 at the Jordan Downs public housing development in Watts via a partnership with the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA). FFL partnered with HACLA in 2010 to provide a program for young ladies who are typically plagued by incidences in their past which impede their progress and development in many areas of their lives including but not limited to their education, self-esteem, inter-personal relationships etc. FFL teaches these young ladies how to forgive and grow to a deeper level of healing in their lives. While therapy is an avenue to learn coping skills and is truly needed, FFL serves to compliment those efforts by taking the young ladies through an intensive 12-month curriculum centered on empowering them to look within, teach them how to heal, love and ultimately forgive. These sessions are also tied to a Healthy, Wealthy and Wise Conference which celebrates the accomplishments the young ladies have attained throughout the year.
